Here are a few thoughts from past volunteers:

"Participating in both the fundraising aspect of the trip and the trip itself was one of the best experiences I had as a University student. SOS allowed me to see at first hand the difference I was making." ' Holly Burton, Tutor and Volunteer Trip Participant, '07

"I found (the trip) particularly rewarding since I put in a lot of work pre-trip through tutoring Accounting and Business courses. My role felt much more important to not only raise the money on behalf of SOS, but also take that money and transform it into solid structures, laptops and smiling Belizeans." Lesley Hirano, Tutor and Volunteer Trip Participant, '07

"The Belize experience definitely helped me step outside of my own everyday life and see firsthand the hardships and difficulties communities in other regions of the world deal with. Yet, what I learned through the experience, and something that I would never have known had I not gone on the trip, was that this small community in Belize enjoyed life to the fullest, the company of family and friends and what little they had, in spite of their tribulations." - Vivek Sarma, Volunteer Trip Participant, '08
